I was hired for a summer internship and tasked with evaluating open-source FPGA development tools, including for logic synthesis and place & route. Also tasked with designing, implementing and testing HDL designs (in Verilog) for low-power FPGA devices.
I enjoyed further developing confidence in using Verilog, testing within Modelsim, the architecture of FPGAs, the necessary tooling required in FPGA development, and use of Linux.
